Day 6, looking a lot cleaner today, very little cloudiness and less color.

I can see detail on the pennies today. There was a small amount of a fine dark powder floating on the surface. One or two more days should be enough to get to clear water, and then the drying can begin.

Day 7, not very cloudy today, some color, but that may never go away. One more day of soaking and tomorrow I'll start the drying phase.

Can really make out the detail today. And no more floating powder.

    WC 32.jpg

Can hardly wait to get these dry and make some budder for cookies.

Day 8, and its time to make this usable, drying time. The color of the buds has really darkened since the first day.

    WC 35.jpg

Just a little color in the water, but clear, can read the dates on the pennies.

Let them drain excess water onto paper towels, then put them on racks. I'm not going to use the dehydrator heat element this time because its warmer now. Have them in the dark garage with a fan moving air, but not on them.

The pile of leaves is going to take a while and needs to be re-arranged often.

In 24-36 hours these should be ready to smoke and cook.

After 24 hours the small buds and the leaf is dry, the bigger buds are still a little damp, and will take another 12 hours or so. Have the dry buds in a jar with a hygrometer to see what their moisture content is.

The trichs don't shine as much when dry. but they're still there.

Try to get a dry weight tomorrow.

I am AMAZED at how good those buds look. I never thought water cured weed would maintain so much bag-appeal. Nicely done!
